Tight security outside Amitabh Bachchan's Bungalow

Anticipating protests by workers of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) following the truce between Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray and actor Amitabh Bachchan, police have provided added security at latter's bungalows in suburban Juhu.

"As a protective measure, we have deployed our men at Jalsa, Prateeksha, Janak - three bungalows of Bachchan," a police officer said.

Patrolling in the area has been stepped up, the officer said, adding that, "as the SP and BSP are upset with the patch-up between Thackeray and Amitabh, their workers may resort to any action disturbing law and order. Hence we are aware and deployed our personnel outside the bungalows."

According to police sources BSP had specified the authorities that it would stage a demonstration outside the actor's bungalow.

B-town's love birds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are scheduling to leave to New York city today to celebrate Christmas and the New Year with latter’s family.

A source from the industry reveals Katrina who was busy promoting Dhoom 3 and shooting for her commendations while Ranbir attending workshop for Jagga Jasoos have wrapped their commitments as planned to fly aboard.

If sources are to be believed, Katrina will first fly to London to be with her family to celebrate Christmas for a day or two and further head to New York with Ranbir to bring in the New Year.

As planned it is going to be a week or 10 day long vacation for the two couples after which both will return back for their frantic schedules.

Katrina will endure to shoot for Bang Bang with Hrithik Roshan post the actor's separation with his wife Sussanne.

Amitabh Bachchan congratulates Abhishek on Dhoom: 3 success

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised his son, actor Abhishek Bachchan for his triumph at the box office with his latest film Dhoom: 3. The film, which is the third offing from the Dhoom franchise, saw the 37-year-old Junior B reprise the role of a cop.

"Dhoom: 3 weekend collection all India is Rs 107 crore. This is going beyond all records ever!! And going beyond berserk." Mr Bachchan, 71, posted on Twitter.

The megastar also shared a childhood image of Abhishek and said he never imagined his son will become a star one day.

"Abhishek on rare Sunday at Prateeksha, never imagined he would become what he is today." Mr Bachchan wrote.

Dhoom: 3, which hit theatres on December 20, also stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Uday Chopra.

Katrina Kaif, To become Brand Ambassador For L'Oreal

"Dhoom 3" actress Katrina Kaif has become the new brand ambassador of cosmetic group L'Oreal Paris, joining fellow Bollywood actresses with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor in the league.

The 30-year-old actress will endorse the cosmetic brand which Aishwarya and Sonam has been endorsing for years now. Katrina will reportedly approve a new shampoo and make-up product, DNA reported. While Sonam is said to be happy with the newest member, former Miss World Aishwarya Rai is understood to be not happy with the addition.

"Now Katrina Kaif joins the ranks. While there were reports of ARB not being happy when the younger actress was brought on board, Sonam is excited with the entry of Kat into the brand," reports DNA

Aishwarya Rai has been endorsing the brand for more than 12 years now. She has been walking the Cannes Film Festival red carpet as the face of L'Oreal Paris. In 2009, Aishwarya allegedly made a big fuss when Sonam was signed as the brand ambassador. It was reported that Aishwarya stopped Sonam from walking the Cannes International Film Festival red carpet in 2009.

The brand managers of the cosmetic group have informed all its ambassadors, including Aishwarya, Sonam and Freida Pinto, about the latest development. But it was only Sonam who spoke to Katrina.

"The international beauty brand wants to present an affordable line of hair and cosmetic products. When Sonam was asked for her preferences for the new addition, she suggested Kat's name. Unlike most contemporaries, Sonam has always been very fond of the senior actress, even though they have not worked together. Kapoor finds her senior dignified and admires her for how she conducts herself professionally and personally. She feels that Katrina has made it on her own and respects her for that," a source told DNA.

What's Cooking between Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli??

It seems something is cooking between "just friends" Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma. If reports are to believed Virat stopped by at Anushka's residence to meet her before he left for South Africa.

Quoting an eyewitness, a report says that around 10:45 pm, both, the cricketer and the actress left Anushka's place and stepped out of the lift on the second floor parking area of the building. Both were casually dressed and the actress gave him a quick kiss before he left in the car.

The report further says that both looked very happy in each other's company and Virat kept turning back to look at Anushka as the car left the parking area.

Both Anushka and Virat met when they were shooting for a shampoo commercial and bonded very well since then. After that they became "good friends" and meet often whenever the cricketer is in Mumbai. Well we sure hope that love is in the air for both Virat and Anushka.
